About Me
Cabsin09.webs.com/ is who I am today after God bless me with the knowledge that creativity could help save my life.
My name is Christa Bethune, born in Clinton N C, raised in Newburgh NY. The daughter of Julia and Henry farmers my parents moved to Newburgh NY to find work, like many others did at the time. After my fathers death at an early age I was raised by my mother and the last old school mob boss in New York State maybe the country. Living a dangerous but still blessed life style still my mother managed to shelter us from the crime in the streets. She felt two of my brothers Lonnie Jimmie and I needed to learn the value of what we had. Each summer we would spend time with our grandparents and older brother Donnie who where still sharecroppers in Clinton North Carolina.
Learning lessons of both world's issues with a strong foundation of faith I began to learn how to listen in their southern cornfield. My poetic voiced interest began at the early age of seven. First written work a poem then a play performed at the AME Zion Church in Newburgh we faithfully attended. Self taught to read after our pastors wife a teacher noticed I couldn’t spell putting me in a special Ed class that also failed to teach because there was no real interest in teaching black children to do so. I began to write on my own and soon learn its importance while in college that I was not made ready for. Still the courage of my creativity gave life to my RipArt, Poetry, Books, and not yet voiced feelings. Thanks to the Lord for giving me the vision to follow his path for my life. My family who gave me much needed support I want them to know that I truly miss the way we where in each others lives back then. My special friend Jessie who lifted me up to have faith in my recovery and for not allowing me to give up. Then saved my life in more ways than I can count. The past ages for leaving me their wisdom’s timeless knowledge. The gift and combination of your love has given me the courage to lean on my own faithful foundation. My eyes open with a clear path my destiny is just ahead no matter my age. I am fearless in tempest yet my peaceful state of mind allows my spirit to soar through clear and faithful eyes.
As a mother of two I'm still caught up like U in a world of miss placed dreams. Only diffrence is I have found my Inner Peace and still manage to keep my dreams alive. A survivor I have come to learn to face what God puts in my path as lessons I need learn. My spirit is conscious and willing but never abused. I can relate to all ages through conversation with an inclusive mindset for we are nothing without one or the other. My door is always open but I say who stays. Peace to your spirit may we always be nurtures of life. Post a CommentOops! The words you entered did not match the given text. Please try again. 1 Comment
